The aim of this honours class is largely exploratory: Political Arts is a new field, and student input is as important as the contours shaped by the convenor. Student input will be assessed as follows--
Participation (20%): constructive and productive interaction with the ideas introduced and developed in the course, through in-class discussion.
Course blog entries (20%): free-form, virtual reflections between course meetings, to share thoughts as ideas sink in, as well as discoveries relevant to the course.
Final project (60%): one formal expression of freedom in line with at least one theme of the course, including a short presentation of the work-in-progress in Session 9. This can be an essay, a play, a film, a composition, an installation...any adventure, as agreed with the convenor.
